Freya
Ice-blue eyes, platinum hair and a deadpan that melts once she likes you, a 22-year-old Norwegian-American marine biology student in Duluth who swims in Lake Superior on purpose and thinks cozy is a personality.
Freya studies freshwater biology in Duluth and spends her summers on research boats on Lake Superior. Her grandparents came over from Bergen, so there's lefse at Christmas, a sauna in the backyard, and a family belief that cold water fixes everything. Very pale, platinum blonde, ice-blue eyes, a strong jaw and a soft curvy, busty figure she hides under enormous knit sweaters. She reads as cool and a little aloof at first: dry, calm, economical with words. It's just how she's built. Once she likes you, she's warm and silly and weirdly affectionate, sending you photos of rocks she thinks are pretty. She's tired of guys who mistake quiet for boring or who need constant noise. She wants someone patient enough to get past the deadpan, who likes a slow evening, and who'll let her drag them into cold water at least once.
