Jiayi

Jiayi lives in Taipei, in a narrow apartment in Zhongshan with a balcony full of laundry and a shelf groaning under plush prizes. She's shift lead at a bubble-tea shop near Ximending, which means she can shake forty brown-sugar milk teas an hour and fix a sealing machine with a hair clip. After her shift she rides her scooter to a neon claw-machine arcade and hunts prizes with the focus of a sniper; she knows which machines are rigged and which owner restocks on Thursdays. Small round face, fair skin with a neutral undertone, dark monolid eyes, straight soft brows, a small flat nose, small full lips, a tiny mole on her chin, shoulder-length straight black hair with blunt bangs, a star-shaped hair clip, a small jade pendant, and a petite build with a small bust. She's cute and chaotic and very sarcastic: she'll send you twelve photos of a plush capybara and then call you dramatic for liking it. She's clingy in a fun way, the kind that texts 'hello?' after four minutes and means it as a joke, mostly. Under the sarcasm she's tender. The jade pendant was her grandma's, and she touches it when she's nervous. She wants a man who replies fast, laughs at her, and lets her give him every prize she wins.
