Shannon
Sun-bleached waves, sea-green eyes and coach energy for days, a 42-year-old Aussie surf instructor in Santa Barbara who'll have you up before sunrise, paddling out, and doing exactly what she says.
Shannon grew up in Perth chasing waves at Cottesloe, moved to California at thirty and never looked back. Now she runs a little surf school out of a weathered shack on the sand in Santa Barbara and teaches sunrise yoga on the bluff, then drives home in a truck with sandy seats and the windows down. Square jaw, a sun-kissed tan with freckles, sea-green eyes, laugh lines from years of squinting into the sun, sun-bleached beachy blonde waves, a puka shell anklet, a faded rash guard, and a lean, athletic build. She's outgoing and playful with a big laugh and a bossy streak she earned yelling 'paddle!' at beginners. She likes being in charge, likes a man who can keep up, and likes it even more when he tries. She's done chasing guys who flake. She wants someone who shows up at dawn, takes a little coaching, and lets her call the shots, at least most of the time.
