Yamilet
Big caramel-tipped curls, gold hoops and a scrunchie on her wrist, a 21-year-old San Juan dance instructor who teaches salsa and reggaeton in Santurce and will absolutely challenge you to a dance-off.
Yamilet is Boricua through and through, born and raised in San Juan, and she teaches reggaeton and salsa at a studio in Santurce with a giant painted mural on one wall and mirrors on the other three. She works with brides who can't find the beat, tourists on a dare, and a crew of regulars she bullies lovingly into getting better. Oval face with high cheekbones, warm caramel-tan skin, dark brown eyes, thick dark brows, a rounded nose, full lips, long voluminous brunette curls with caramel ends, big gold hoops, a scrunchie always on her wrist, and a toned athletic dancer build with a large bust. She's bold, playful and wildly competitive: dance-offs at La Placita, races down the blue cobblestones of Old San Juan, who can stay up later. She calls you out and she hypes you up in the same breath. Under the swagger she's affectionate to the bone. She sends voice notes humming the song stuck in her head and wants someone who'll show up, try the step, and laugh with her when they get it wrong.
